Athletes have special talents. Naturally, they know how to tap into their expertise, utilize their team atmosphere, and explode their power on and off the field. But, sometimes, our gifts aren’t always easy to come by. They make us think and even work hard to bring them to the forefront. And, on top of that, it’s hard to stay confident in knowing the gifts you are given will make a difference in the lives of others.
It’s hard to believe, but back-to-school season is upon us! Check out this week’s #dappowered updates as we get back into the swing of all things school routines and sports season preparation.
At DAP, we believe heavily in the power of family time. Quality, meaningful and intentional time with the ones we love the most. But, sometimes the weekend is over before it even began and we find ourselves wondering why we didn’t get out of the house more or we didn’t get some fresh air. Today, on the weekly updates video, we’re sharing our favorite tips on the importance of playing with your kids to not only enhance their athletic skills but to get your own workout in, too.
We can't even believe it but the time is finally here to share our newest and updated DAP world with our favorite people! After months of hard work and dedication ... we're finally ready to open our doors!
It's no surprise that around here, we love athletes. ALL athletes. From beginners to experts, each one holds a special place in our hearts. But, with Coach Mike's background, high school athletes are in a very unique and special time in their lives. Ready to take on their next challenge, high school is the time to grow and nurture the craft that is their sport. To inspire to go to the next level, to train harder than ever before and to have the world at your fingertips. And, with the goal of moving to the next level, comes hard work. Dedication and commitment. Blood, sweat and tears. Literally.
It's hard to believe but Christmas Day is only 8 days away! Which means, cookie baking, family gatherings, present buying and wrapping and of course ... Winter Break! For so many of us, Winter Break is a time to look forward to. The kids are out of school, families are celebrating the birth of our Savior and it's a time to enjoy loved one's company. But, what happens when the celebrations are over and you head back to work ... only to know your kids still have a week left of break!
When we opened the doors to DAP in October 2017, we knew there was one goal we wanted to make an effort with attaining each month: to run one 5k per month with the members of our DAP Family.
What we discovered, is there are so many people out there afraid to complete a 5k. We asked questions and found answers for you here...

Over the last few weeks, we've heard that many of our clients don't eat before a work-out session. The end result? A sluggish workout, a nauseous aftermath and a long day of recovery. So, when you're wondering why you're not feeling well after exercising, think back to before your workout. Did you eat properly beforehand? Did you drink enough water? That's where we start when trying to figure out the culprit to post workout issue.
It's almost November and the weather is officially getting cooler!
And, for many Florida bones, the crisp breeze in the air and the extra layer of clothes really throws our work-out game off! We become so used to hot and humid weather that we don't know what to do with this cool weather that's showing up!
There's a saying that our Pastors use with our Youth Ministry at Christian Life Fellowship and it's one that applies to many scenarios... friendship, accountability, and more relatable to our field, fitness.
Show me your friends and I'll show you your future.
Naturally, as the saying goes, your tribe is what will move you forward in your fitness and athletic journey and it's also what may hold you back.
Our first official day of opening is finally here and to say we're beyond excited would be the understatement of the year!
We worked hard.
Prayed harder.
And, above all, let our faith be bigger than our fear...
We can't even believe it but the time is finally here to share our world with our favorite people! After months of hard work and dedication, surviving a hurricane, and being patient through City Hall hurdles and delayed flooring shipments ... we're finally ready to open our doors!

Sometimes it’s hard to see the beauty that is to come when we’re in the trenches of hurt, pain and sorrow. But, there’s one thing that’s always certain … light will always come from dark. When you’re committed to your passions and the path laid before you, you will always be led to finding the positive in a crummy situation.
